Hello, my name is Minsun Shim. I am a second-year Ph.D. student in Computer Engineering at University of California, Irvine. My advisor is Prof. Zhou Li.

My current research focus is Agent Privacy & Security, where I study privacy and security risks in LLM agents, with a focus on principled defenses such as information flow control. I also have a prior experience in large-scale network security measurement.

Before joining UC Irvine, I received my Master’s degree in Computer Science at University of Southern California (USC), and was part of the STEEL lab in USC/ISI, advised by Prof. Jelena Mirkovic. Also, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Security at Seoul Women’s University (SWU).
